Wand and Wizardry

For while most RPGs try to balance wizards and magic into a system with a heavy emphasis on the sword and swashbuckling of the world, or to tag magic into the system as a minor player, Wand and Wizardry brings the magic to the forefront in imitation of the stories of powerful wizard protagonists who have spells for dozens, even hundreds of situations, from fixing broken glasses to healing broken bones.  

 This is a rules lite game, meaning that at storytelling is its core and many of its rules are primarily storytelling prompts. 

 This is your world and your story, after all, and it should match what you want. You can. Want to have this be a tale about wizards flinging epic spells that allows them to rule the world? You can do that. Want a story about students in a magical school who barely escape dangerous situations with their lives? It’s all possible by focusing on the storytelling aspects of roleplaying.
